My First "YES!" after a pool of rejection.
How many rejections did it take before I found that one person?
I lost count.
I went from store to store, presenting my products — walking under the burning sun, braving the fierce South Dakota wind. I started where I grew up, thinking it would be smooth sailing.
It wasn’t.
The doubts crept in. The negativity got louder. And the voices of the unsupportive people? They echoed in my mind more than I’d like to admit.
I wasn’t asking for much. Just one. One person to say yes. To see me.
All I need is just ONE.
Then came Nathan.
The moment I walked in, exhausted and barely able to speak, I showed him my product sample — and he looked at me with kindness and said, "Let’s bring it to Custer."
He said it with a welcoming embrace and a positive spark in his eyes.
I barely knew him. I barely had the energy to explain. And in all the excitement, I even forgot to ask what store he was in after we parted ways and I said I’d meet him there.
My hands were shaking as I wrote the order down. I couldn’t even hold the pen properly. I’ve never felt that before — the weight of being seen. The overwhelming mix of relief, joy, and disbelief.
That moment gave me something no one else could: belief in myself , I can do this.
It proved that the right person doesn’t just see your product — they see you. The effort. The heart. The courage it takes to face rejection after rejection and still get up and try again.
To those reading this: You don’t need many. You need one. One solid ground. One foundation.
Whether I get a yes or not, I’ll keep going. I’ll keep searching. Because not everyone will see the value I bring — but I know it’s real. I know it’s coming from hardworking hands, built with care, and crafted with purpose. It's authenticity is undeniable.
I’ve walked through more complicated, darker, and lonelier roads than this. And even though this path is hard and requires a solid commitment — it’s honest. And I love every bit of it.
I hope one day we get to serve you, too. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll find a piece that speaks to your heart.
